Walking As Ruth: The Journey of Covenantal Faith Begins

  • Launching a new path of faith and purpose, inspired by Ruth’s unwavering trust and commitment to God.Item description

  • “Where you go, I will go, and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried.” (Ruth 1:16-17)

  • I was a young twenty-something when God whispered “Walking As Ruth” to my heart. I knew it would be a book title, but I had no clue it would turn into a ministry. The truth is, I was resistant to it. I wanted nothing to do with being a widow and living in a foreign land begging for grain. I even lived just outside of Bethlehem for a short time, and it only reinforced my desire for comfort and security. Needless to say, it took twenty-something more years of the Lord massaging His message of love into my heart before I began to embrace Ruth and her story. I am so thankful that God is patient. And I am so in love with Him and His offer of covenantal love. I want you to be too. As I launch Walking As Ruth, I am keenly aware that true love requires covenant. And covenant is the fertile soil of commitment, risk, sacrifice, trust, faith, and God’s goodness. Like Ruth, we may not know where the road of covenant devotion leads, but we know He who walks with us is faithful. This ministry is a call to walk as Ruth did—in covenantal devotion to the one true God. It is a place where women of undivided hearts can come for guidance, encouragement, and resources on their faith journey. Whether you’re seeking renewal, guidance, or community, you are stepping into something beautiful and purposeful.

    1. Have you ever reflected on or studied covenantal love? If not, the book of Ruth is a great place to start, but it is a truth weaved all throughout Scripture. Both the Old and New Testament portray God’s fervent covenantal love to His children. Reflect on your relationship with God and ask Him to speak to you about covenant—why is it important to Him?

    2. Is He calling you to embrace or renew your covenant with Him? Although He has never left you, have you strayed from His ways or His good plan for your life? If so, talk to Him about it.

    3. God’s covenant with us is eternal, but there are often many stages one may experience within the covenantal relationship. Is He inviting you into a new season of growth, service, or trust?

    4. Commit to walking boldly, refusing to turn to the right or the left, trusting that God’s plans are good and that He is ever faithful.

  • Lord, just as Ruth entered into covenant relationship with You, help me to step out in faith today. Guide my steps as I begin or renew this journey, and remind me of Your presence along the way. May this new season deepen my relationship with You and bring You glory. Amen.

  • What is one step of faith I can take this week to walk more closely in covenant with God?

What am I trusting God to guide me through this year?
